Nothing Heard?

The Holy Spirit must energize our prayer life. We cannot pray with the discipline of the flesh and be heard. We cannot boast of our answers to prayer. We cannot be people of prayer to be seen by people. No, it must be all of God! The Holy Spirit initiates the prayer of the saint as we quietly hear His voice, gives the believer promises to cling to in this prayer journey, and empowers the believer to persevere in prayer. The Spirit also enables the believer to give God the glory when the answer comes and enriches the believer’s life with the Savior as a result of this unbeknown service to others. For sure, God sees it and rewards this Holy Spirit-driven obedience in His time! (A. W. Tozer)
