Homefront Ministries: Strong Marriages

Building Christ-Centered, Resilient Military Marriages.
Building Christ-Centered, Resilient Military Marriages.

The Heart of It

Military life places a unique strain on marriages.

Deployments. Reintegration. PCS moves. Operational stress. Trauma exposure. Long hours. Moral injury. Isolation.

Even strong couples can drift into survival mode.

CMF's Marriage & Family ministry exists to help couples move from survival to strength—from reactivity to renewal—by restoring the most important relationship in their home: their shared walk with Christ.

When husbands and wives align vertically with Christ, grace flows horizontally between them. Unity deepens. Forgiveness grows. Joy returns.

Marriage does not have to be merely endured.

It can flourish—even in the military.

What We Offer

Strong Marriages provides structured, peer-led small groups designed specifically for military couples. Our programs include:

Vertical Marriage

Practical, transparent teaching that reveals the “one big secret” that transforms marriage—placing your relationship with Christ above everything else.

The Art of Marriage

A deeper exploration of God’s design for oneness, intimacy, and covenant commitment.

Turn Around at Home

Real-life stories and biblical tools for couples needing renewal, breakthrough, or restoration.

Courses are delivered in 5–8 week cohorts or occasional weekend intensives, facilitated by trained military peer couples in safe, rank-free environments.

Why It Matters

Financial stress strains marriages. Operational tempo strains marriages. Unresolved wounds strain marriages. But when both spouses pursue Christ first:

  • Forgiveness replaces resentment.

  • Unity replaces division.

  • Peace replaces tension.

  • Emotional and physical intimacy grow.

  • Homes become places of refuge instead of conflict.

Strong marriages build strong families. Strong families strengthen installations. Strong Christian marriages shine in a watching military world.

What Couples Experience

Through Strong Marriages, many couples report:

  • Increased time in daily Scripture and prayer

  • More consistent couple prayer

  • Renewed laughter and connection

  • Healing from betrayal, anger, or isolation

  • Greater confidence facing military transitions together

  • A shared vision for their future

Over time, many graduates step forward to help lead new cohorts—multiplying strength and impact across installations.
