Scott grew up in Sheboygan, WI, and joined the Navy directly after high school. He served on the USS San Francisco, Alaska, Georgia, and Chicago as an MM/ELT. In 1987, after being invited to a Bible study, Scott received Christ on Easter Sunday and experienced a transformed life. He later attended Bethel Seminary, receiving his M-Div in 1997, and served as a Navy Chaplain to the Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard, concluding 27 years of service. Scott is also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and enjoys hiking, home improvement, and creative projects.
Kristi was raised in San Diego, CA and began her personal relationship with Christ at age 13. After a period of spiritual reflection in her early 20s, she rededicated her life to the Lord at 27. Kristi holds a BA and MA in Education from San Diego State University and taught Special Education for 10 years. She has since trained in trauma-informed story therapy at The Allender Center. Kristi enjoys theater, traveling, and hosting others in their home.
Married in 1993 with three grown children, Scott and Kristi have a passion for discipling those in difficult seasons. Together, they have led Navy CREDO retreats and suicide intervention training. Their heart is to help military members and their families grow deeper in their relationship with God.
Life Verse: “They triumphed over him (the enemy) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.”
