Vic & Cindy Primeaux

Fund #4220

Ministry to Coast Guard Forces and Families

Vic and Cindy Primeaux have faithfully served the military community for decades, with a particular heart for Coast Guard members and their families. Vic, an Army brat, grew up moving around the world before going on to serve more than 26 years in the United States Coast Guard, most of that time flying rescue helicopters. Vic and Cindy met while he was stationed in Kodiak, Alaska, and have now been married for over 45 years. They are the proud parents of three children and grandparents to six.

Vic was raised in a devout Roman Catholic home, but it wasn’t until later in his military career that he came to truly understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ. After more than ten years of active duty, he found himself spiritually broken—struggling inwardly while outwardly maintaining appearances. Through the faithful witness of a Navy friend and his wife, God met Vic in that place of need, leading him to saving faith in Christ. He was then discipled through materials from The Navigators, which helped establish a strong biblical foundation for his life and ministry.

As his faith grew, Vic developed a deep burden for his fellow Coast Guardsmen, recognizing how many were also in need of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Through involvement with Officers’ Christian Fellowship (OCF) and Christian Military Fellowship (CMF), he was equipped to begin ministering to others within the military community.

Following his retirement from active duty, Vic and Cindy sensed a clear call to full-time ministry. They began serving with OCF at the Coast Guard Academy, which later transitioned into full-time ministry with CMF, where they now focus on supporting Coast Guard personnel and their families.

Today, Vic leads multiple Bible study fellowships each week and travels extensively throughout the Pacific Northwest and across the country to stay connected with those he has ministered to over the years. He also participates in and documents military ceremonies of individuals impacted by their ministry, reflecting decades of faithful investment in the lives of service members.

Cindy serves faithfully alongside Vic, offering steady encouragement, hospitality, and support that strengthens their shared ministry. Together, they have spent more than 35 years pouring into the lives of military families with the love and truth of Christ.

A guiding Scripture for Vic’s life and ministry is Galatians 2:20:

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
