Reboot Recovery Leader

Dave & Karen Wittman proudly serve CMF at Keesler AFB in Biloxi, MS. Dave is a retired US Navy Chief Petty Officer with a distinguished career in the US Submarine Force and Navy Special Warfare Operations, including deployments during the Cold War and Gulf War.

Karen proudly graduated from the University of the Pacific with a Bachelor of Music Therapy, and for over 30 years, she has compassionately served in Family and Marriage Counseling, touching many lives along the way. Since retiring, Dave, who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master's degree in Instructional Design and Technology, brings a rich background of experience to Team CMF. He also happily takes on the role of Director of Information Technology for CMF.

Dave and Karen genuinely dedicate their time to serving both US enlisted personnel and officers, as well as our international military partners from around the world. Every week, their discipleship Bible Studies nurture spiritual gifts and ethical leadership, warmly guiding young men and women as they prepare for their first permanent duty stations, whether in the US or abroad. Their heartfelt dedication thoughtfully helps shape the next generation of military leaders.

Shortly after their marriage in 1980, Dave and Karen were stationed at NAS Pensacola following a deployment on USS Parche to classified operations. It was during this time that they rededicated their lives to Jesus Christ! Since then, they've been actively involved in ministry—helping with small groups and serving in Military Chapels while in the military. Following the military, in 2006, Dave was asked if he and Karen would serve as pastors at a church, which led them to get involved in Motorcycle Ministry. This experience opened the door to ministering to bikers. By 2014, Dave was also reaching out to the international military community. Throughout these ministries, Dave connected with a CMF staff member who kept in touch with him over the years. When an opportunity arose to disciple and partner with another organization, Dave prayerfully accepted a staff role with CMF, where he now leads a Bible study and continues to serve with dedication.

Dave’s favorite Scripture is James 1:2-4 - Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Dave says, “While I don’t always like to have trials in my life.  I know that through these trials that God has prepared something for me that provides for my needs.”
