Darlene Leysath
Leader, Carry A Heart Ministry
Fund #4256
Darlene Leysath serves as the leader of CMF’s Carry A Heart Ministry, bringing over four decades of experience in social work, crisis care, and compassionate support to veterans and their families. Since beginning her journey in 1985, she has faithfully walked alongside individuals facing stress, grief, trauma, and addiction, offering both practical help and Christ-centered encouragement.
Throughout her career, Darlene has supported individuals and families during some of life’s most difficult moments, including times of personal crisis and natural disaster. Her work is not simply a profession, but a calling rooted in a deep desire to see others find healing, strength, and renewed purpose. She is especially passionate about serving veterans and their loved ones, helping them experience the power of community and the hope found in Christ.
Darlene’s faith is the foundation of everything she does. It shapes her approach to ministry and reminds her daily that no one has to face life’s struggles alone. Even in the hardest seasons, she believes there is always hope. Through her own experiences with grief, including the loss of close family members, Darlene has developed a profound compassion for others who are hurting. She understands the weight of loss and the reality of grief, and she seeks to lift others up with love, encouragement, and the truth that God is their strength.
Her life reflects a deep commitment to serving others with humility and care, embracing each opportunity to walk alongside those in need. Darlene desires to be a steady source of encouragement, helping others discover healing, reassurance, and the presence of Christ in every season.
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3
